Hi, I’m Lisney, and I’m so grateful you’re here.

Wake Up To His Word was born from a place of deep brokenness — and beautiful redemption.

My journey of faith began just a couple of years ago, during one of the hardest seasons of my life. I was battling depression, feeling lost, and questioning my purpose. But in the middle of all that brokenness, God met me.

I started going to church.
I began staying in the Word.
And slowly, I stopped letting fear lead me and started walking in faith toward something greater.

Through it all, I realized something simple but life-changing: my purpose is to be a disciple of Jesus and to spread the Word of God. Not just in grand ways, but in everyday moments — through love, truth, and a life that reflects Him.

One of the first Bible verses I memorized was Ephesians 3:20:

“All glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

This verse has stayed with me through every season of depression, uncertainty, and new beginnings. It reminds me that God is able — and His mighty power strengthens me daily. His power is at work within me, and because of that, I can step out in faith and allow Him to accomplish infinitely more than I could ever imagine.

That gives me hope.
That gives me purpose.

Today, I’m living in that truth.
This blog, this space — it’s one of the ways I walk it out.
My prayer is that it encourages you to wake up to His Word, stay rooted in His truth, and start flourishing in faith — so you can become all He created you to be.

You don’t have to have it all together.
You just need to be willing to take the next step with Him.

When I’m not writing or recording podcast episodes, you can usually find me spending time with my family — my three kids, my husband, and our cat Judah — enjoying nature, gathering with friends at church, or soaking in the beauty of God’s creation.
