Hi, I’m Lisney, and I created Wake Up to His Word to encourage others to start their day rooted in God’s truth through scripture. My heart behind this blog is to help people deepen their relationship with God, reflect on His Word, and flourish in faith. I believe that when we center ourselves around God’s truth, we find peace and strength for the day ahead.

I’ve personally experienced the power of starting each day with scripture, especially during seasons of depression, insecurity, and doubt. There were times when I felt disconnected from God, unsure of His promises. But I found healing as I rooted myself in His Word each morning. This inspired me to share these reflections with others—creating a space where we can be reminded of God’s love and truth, no matter what we’re facing.

Through daily scripture reflections, I hope to encourage you to grow in your faith, allowing God’s truth to take root in your heart. It’s my prayer that these posts will help you apply scripture to your life, and inspire you to experience a deeper connection with God.

One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 3:20: ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.’ This verse has been a guiding light in my life, especially during seasons when I felt uncertain. It reminds me that God is able to do far more than I could ever imagine—He is at work, even when I can’t see it. This verse inspires me to trust in His power to transform my life and to trust that He’s always working in ways I can’t fully understand.
